Ala-ud-Din Khilji was the second king of the Khilji dynasty, and one of the most powerful kings of medieval India. He ruled from 1296 to 1316, and is credited with building Siri, the 'second city' of Delhi. Alongside his tomb stands a Madarsa he built. Time has dealt harshly with the tomb; the madarsa on the other hand is in fine condition.
