Chausath Khamba (or 64 Pillars) is the tomb of Mirza Aziz Koka who built it as a mausoleum for himself. Mirza Aziz served as Governor of Gujarat during the reign of the Mughal emperor Jahangir, and died sometime in 1623 or 1624. The structure served as a private hall during Mirza Aziz’z lifetime and consists of 64 pillars supporting 25 bays, resting on which are domes. Also buried there are many other members of his family
