This mosque is so named because of the blue tiles that decorated it (some of which are still visible). It was built in 1505–06 by Kasumbhil, nurse of the son of of Khawas Khan, the governor of the area. The ‘white lines’ visible in the upper half of my photograph are streaks of heavy rain
